Last month Ultimate Play in conjunction with Kompan, hosted a Day of Play at the Silo Hotel in Launceston, Tasmania.
The Day of Play was attended by council members, landscape architects and other local community members involved in children’s play activities around Tasmania.
Speaking at the event was
Jeanette Jespersen | International Manager | KOMPAN Play Institute
Play for all: universal design for inclusive play
Matthew Skirving | Manager of Major Projects | City of Launceston
Riverbend Park, Launceston: Tasmania’s most exciting new community space
Keith Brown | Policy Advisor – Built Environment | Heart Foundation
Healthy Active by Design for built environments, including public open space and play
It was interesting and exciting to hear about development that could bring together communities through play, increasing our children’s well being and health by creating amazing play spaces that are inclusive for all people.
We then took a tour around the new Riverbend Park, Launceston’s brand new development situated next to the Silo Hotel. It is fantastic watching this park take shape.
It has been a great journey and honour for Ultimate Play to be a part of this project that will be enjoyed by the families of Tasmania for generations to come.
Ultimate Play is a local Launceston family business that has worked in parks all over the City of Launceston for many years.
